Michael Slack

Director Investigative Services

Director Michael Slack is a seasoned police executive and investigator with more than 30 years of service, including seven years in senior command with York Regional Police. His career spans leadership in intelligence, organized crime, emergency response, and district operations, as well as collaborative work with municipal, provincial, federal, and international partners.

Now Director of Investigation Services with Sotera Investigations Group, Michael provides consulting, case review, and specialized investigative support to law enforcement, corporate, and private clients. He is also a Commissioned Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserve and an Aide de Camp to the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario.

Widely recognized as a values-driven leader, Michael is respected for building partnerships, managing critical incidents, and driving organizational change. His service has earned him multiple awards, including two Police Officer of the Year honours and the Police Exemplary Service Medal.
