Job Opportunity: Electrical Forensic Engineer

We’re seeking an Electrical Forensic Engineer to join our team and support clients across insurance, legal, and corporate sectors. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in complex environments and wants to make an impact through technical expertise and clear communication.

Key Responsibilities

● Investigate electrical failures, damages, or defects across residential, commercial, and industrial sites
● Conduct field inspections, lead site examinations, and document findings with accuracy.
● Analyze the cause of failures, review construction/design/maintenance practices, and recommend remediation solutions.
● Research code requirements and industry standards to support investigations.
● Prepare clear, professional reports outlining findings for clients, including insurers and law firms.
● Provide expert testimony in depositions and court settings when required.
● Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on complex projects, ensuring strong communication and client satisfaction.
● Maintain awareness of regulations, standards, and industry best practices.

Skills & Experience

● 5–7 years of experience investigating or evaluating electrical systems and failures.

● Strong analytical skills with the ability to simplify complex cases.

● Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to provide expert testimony.

● Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort using CRM tools.

● Ability to work in challenging environments, including post-disaster sites.

● Professional, collaborative, and client-focused mindset.

Preferred

● Experience working with insurers or law firms.

● Forensic engineering or power systems experience (generators, transformers, switchgear).

● Background in project management, electro-mechanical systems, or MEP.

Education

● Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline) required.

● Professional Engineering License preferred (with willingness to pursue additional designations if

needed).
