Belleville Police Service (2025 – Present)
Sotera Investigative Group was retained by the Belleville Police Service (BPS) as an external, independent consulting firm to conduct a fair, objective, and comprehensive review of the workplace management of a member of Belleville Police Service.
The scope of this review included:
- Established an accurate and evidence-based account of the relevant events and actions;
- Assessed adherence to applicable laws, Belleville Police Service policies, codes of conduct, and professional policing standards;
- Evaluated supervisory practices, leadership accountability, and the broader organizational culture, with particular attention to workplace respect, fairness, and inclusion;
- Identified systemic issues, cultural patterns, or gaps that may undermine organizational values;
- Provided clear, actionable recommendations to enhance workplace well-being, strengthen organizational integrity, and promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, and respect.
This independent review was committed to objectivity, transparency, and the highest standards of ethical conduct, in recognition of the vital role that public trust and internal accountability play within public service institutions.
The final report with recommendations has been completed and Sotera has been retained to assist in actioning / implementing recommendations.
